What information is needed before a price can be fixed?
The holding institution or collection address and the exact receiving point are recorded first. These details determine which public offices, release papers and handover conditions apply. A broad country-to-country description cannot establish a final quotation because the competent authority and practical collection requirements may differ within the same state.
The selected coffin, any requested additional items and any exceptional procedure are assessed separately. A coroner or prosecutorial release, exhumation, infectious-disease direction or unusual receiving arrangement can change the scope. The quotation therefore identifies the actual task instead of concealing uncertain work inside an attractive headline figure.
Which confirmed services do not carry an extra charge?
Routine document collection does not carry a separate handling fee, and Fenjer Bestattung does not charge for dressing the deceased. Fees imposed by a hospital, registrar, sanitary authority, consulate or other institution remain separate and are charged against that institution’s invoice or receipt.
Basic accessories — coffin bedding, the grave marker and the marker on the coffin — have no separate price because they are included in the coffin or funeral-equipment price. The metal inner coffin costs €50. The family selects a wooden coffin from €320. Other preparation, specialist measures and optional goods are only included after their scope has been confirmed.
How are hospital and authority fees treated?
Public bodies and holding institutions set their own charges. Fenjer Bestattung cannot turn those amounts into a permanent promise or describe them as its own service. If an external invoice is expected, the quotation distinguishes it from the work appointed to the transport provider and identifies who has issued it.
Where a third-party amount is not yet known, no substitute estimate is invented. The open point is recorded for confirmation. This is particularly important for an insurer or funeral director that needs an auditable boundary between the agreed transport service and expenditure controlled by another organisation.
When does a quotation become firm?
Send the precise current location, intended handover point and a telephone number. Existing papers can be identified by their official title and issuing body. The approved target is an initial response within ten minutes, but that response may correctly identify an unresolved authority requirement rather than pretend that it has already been decided.
A total becomes firm when the service boundary, selected equipment, known external items and case assumptions are expressly confirmed. The calculator is restricted to company-approved route prices. If no approved route record exists, it asks for an individual calculation and does not infer a figure from neighbouring destinations or internal travel data.
What should a professional quotation record make auditable?
A structured quotation identifies the case reference, currency, selected coffin option, included company services and every known amount controlled by a third party. It should also state which open condition could change the scope. This allows an insurer or appointing funeral director to compare the final invoice with the instruction that was actually accepted.
A revised quotation keeps the reason for revision visible. A newly imposed institutional fee, changed receiving arrangement or additional official procedure should not silently overwrite the earlier basis. Recording the change protects both the family and the service provider from treating two different versions as the same commitment.
