Why must the precise Kragujevac cemetery be stated?
JKP Šumadija's cemetery division publishes five locations: Varoško, Palilulsko, Bozman, Sušičko and Mala Pčelica. They are not interchangeable destinations. Each name leads to a particular local record, chapel and reception arrangement. Writing only Kragujevac therefore leaves the receiving office and site unresolved.
Selection is not based solely on family recollection. An existing family grave is checked against the register, while a new place is governed by local allocation rules. Once the actual site is established, the responsible contact, handover address and later funeral booking can all refer to the same record.
What is the role of the mortuary at Bozman?
The official cemetery service page specifically locates the mortuary at Bozman. It does not say that every international arrival must finish there. Bozman becomes the reception point only when the administrator assigns the case to it and confirms that the facility will accept the deceased at the intended time.
Fenjer can also arrange access to cold storage in Kragujevac. That operational facility neither registers a burial nor proves the right to a grave. Interim care and the funeral booking remain separate decisions, preventing a temporary receiving arrangement from being mistaken for confirmation by a cemetery administrator.
How are entry, cemetery records and oversight divided?
Three responsibilities should not be combined. The competent Serbian mission deals with the sprovodnica. JKP Šumadija manages local cemetery services and site information. The city administration has published functions concerning municipal inspection. A document from one body cannot serve as a decision made by another.
| Document or detail | Confirming body | Role at reception |
|---|---|---|
| Sprovodnica | Serbian mission responsible for the application abroad | records permission for admission to Serbia |
| Death certificate | foreign civil registry | supplies the identity and official death entry |
| Cemetery and grave | cemetery division of JKP Šumadija | assigns reception and burial to a particular site |
| Receiving contact | competent local service | enables a recorded transfer of responsibility |
When does the city's inspection role matter?
The city administration responsible for inspection and communal order oversees the municipal framework, but it is not the booking desk for every funeral. In a regular case, relatives deal with the cemetery division. Inspection becomes relevant when a municipal duty, the identity of the responsible service or application of a local rule requires formal clarification.
A burial ground beyond the five published sites is assigned to its actual administrator, not presumed to belong to JKP Šumadija.
What must be confirmed before arrival?
The file needs the complete cemetery name, the existing grave reference or current status of a new allocation, the intended recipient and a reachable contact. If Bozman is involved, the administrator also confirms whether its mortuary is the final or an interim reception point. A chapel is never presumed available simply because transport has been planned.
Originals pass to the responsible office after names in all records have been compared.
Which details are needed to open the case?
Initial review records the foreign facility, passport details, release status and cemetery. The Serbian mission handles entry paperwork; the recipient's name and telephone number support separate local arrangements. We give the first response within 10 minutes.
Arrival within 48 hours is planned when official release and local reception are procedurally clear. An investigation or unresolved cemetery decision can change the start. Such a gap is recorded and resolved; it is not concealed by assuming an address or advertising a funeral time before the responsible body has agreed.
