Preparing collection through the Vienna procedure
Vienna’s Hygienezentrum handles the international Leichenpass. The published procedure involves advance information, an appointment and inspection of proper coffining before handover of the document. Please distinguish an application from an issued permit and identify what the institution still requires.
Austria also requires examination, death registration and necessary release. An outstanding official decision takes precedence over a proposed Zagreb funeral date.
Paperwork connecting Austria and Croatia
A Croatian mission issues the sprovodnica for entry of a body for burial, using death, medical and identity evidence plus transport details. The Austrian Leichenpass remains separate. Croatia lists secured-grave proof specifically for foreign nationals; additional requirements depend on the application.
| Document | Issuer | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Leichenpass | Vienna Hygienezentrum | International transport document |
| Death certificate | Civil registration authority | Registered death and identity |
| Sprovodnica | Croatian diplomatic or consular mission | Entry for burial in Croatia |
Confirming the actual Zagreb receiving point
Zagreb’s cemetery operator establishes burial rights and any necessary consent for an existing family grave. An intended location alone does not confirm those arrangements. Supply the full cemetery or institution name and a responsible reception contact.
Fenjer coordinates the journey and handover. Grave allocation and the ceremony require separate local arrangements. The Zagreb and Austria–Croatia pages explain those related procedures.
Understanding the scope of the starting price
This starting figure concerns Vienna–Zagreb. A different collection point, selected equipment or special preparation may alter the quotation. Every coffin and the local funeral are not automatically included. Agree the scope before confirming transport.
